80-ties in Games as an inspiration
Game development has always been linked to the art of designing graphics, sounds, and music. In the 80s, when personal computers began to be available to a wider range of users (Atari 65xe, Commodore 64 or ZX spectrum computers), game development became the domain of enthusiasts. We invite you to go back in time to those years. In the 80s, many genres of games were created. Amazingly, most of them were in 64kB of memory. That’s as much as one image takes up below.

In 2D games, images (called sprites) are used, which are drawn on the screen (building the game scene)

In the 80s, the game was built from scratch. Today, with the use of game engines, we can significantly speed up the production process.
Engines such as Godot, Unity or Unreal make it easy to:
- Drawing objects
- Their animation
- Interactions between game objects
- Sound and music management
- Migrations to different platforms (PC, ANDROID)
Games of the 80s became an inspiration for new productions. An example of a game prepared by me together with the GameDev section is Reset Adventure available for free on itch.io (Reset Adventure by mbernas, EpicSnail)

Recent years have been another breakthrough. In the era of artificial intelligence, some graphics and music can be created automatically (e.g. https://stablediffusionweb.com/). However, the game will still not be created without creative creators.
